While preparing for the biggest tech show in the world, we created a set of sample prints to showcase the variety of multi-material works possible with ZMorph 2.0 SX.

During CES 2017 in Las Vegas, we wanted to show various abilities of ZMorph 2.0 SX, including the most popular at the moment multi-materiality. Dual extrusion and material mixing are one of the hottest topics in 3D printing right now and our machine has a lot to offer in this department. ZMorph also continues to push limits of multi-materiality in desktop 3D printing with these latest sample prints utilizing various functionalities of ZMorph’s DUAL PRO extruder.


Our designers looked for the most challenging and inspiring 3D models. They printed architectural models with a translucent imitation of windows and glass fronts that couldn’t be achieved using any other machine or printing technique. Water soluble PVA allowed them to manufacture complex medical models and objects with moving parts. Finally, they made a ton of experimental prints, like color gradient topographic models and objects with actual images printed on them using Image Mapping.   


Multi-materiality opens countless new applications for desktop 3D printing. Multicolor prints and objects with colorful bitmaps printed on them push the limits of traditional two-material printing offered by others. At the same time, the precision and quality of DUAL PRO extruder allow ZMorph users to create intricate and detailed multi-material objects using the widest range of supported materials on the market. And still, this is just a fraction of what the interchangeable toolheads for ZMorph 2.0 SX multitool 3D printer have to offer.
