With 3D printed PVA molds, impressions from Manufacturing World Japan 2017, and more. Here’s ZMorph Digest #36!
Disposable 3D printed PVA molds enable you to cold-cast highly detailed objects from Metal Fluid. Just like designer Eliza Wrobel did to make these beautiful Egyptian-themed figures. Recreate her process by reading our in-depth blog post about this project.

We just released a new interchangeable Laser PRO toolhead equipped with a 2.8W blue laser diode. It’s 50% more powerful than the previous model and can work twice as fast. It can cut and engrave in materials like plywood, various types of wood, adhesive foils, cardboard, leather, acrylic glass, felt, and others. It even enables manufacturing of working PCBs!
With almost 90 000 visitors, Manufacturing World Japan 2017 was a huge success for all companies present at the futuristic Tokyo Big Sight venue. We were there along with our Japanese reseller Brule presenting ZMorph 2.0 SX multitool 3D printer at the 3D and Virtual Reality Expo section, which was one of the most popular parts of the entire show. Read our impressions to learn more.
During our stay in Tokyo, we also visited Brule HQ where we presented an early version of the new Voxelizer software. Completely new user interface and lots of new features really impressed them and we just can’t wait to show you more! Soon!
At the ZMorph office, we sure like a good cake. We recently customized one for our friend’s birthday using Thick Paste Extruder for ZMorph 2.0 SX multitool 3D printer. The result was really sweet!
