The story of Belgian maker Julien Doolaeghe shows how ZMorph machine can serve as an ultimate all-in-one multitool 3D printer for makers.
Makers often own several machines for working with different types of materials and fabrication methods. Now you can build an entire workshop or even a small production line around a single multitool machine. Continue reading to learn how.
Meet Julien Doolaeghe, Belgian maker who decided to buy ZMorph Multitool 3D Printer to invent and build unique objects in his spare time. Just check out this CNC-cut lamp that he made and shared on Instructables.
During the day Julien works as a software developer in a telecom company. Back at home, he turns into a semi-professional designer and maker using ZMorph to materialize his ideas. Right now he spends most of his time making wooden lamps with the CNC PRO toolhead even though he initially planned to focus on 3D printing entirely.
Julien has the ability to choose from a wide range of tools and materials depending on the project which for him is the biggest advantage of owning a multitool machine instead of a regular 3D printer. It provides him with a wider range of potential applications as well as ability to combine technologies and materials within his projects.
Making his hobby into a full-time job is one of Julien’s dreams. He runs a blog to document his experiences and accomplishments as well as a shop where you can order one of his lamps, 3D printed earrings, and fidget spinners. And this is just the beginning since his head is full of ideas for utilizing multitool 3D printing.
Makers tend to choose ZMorph 2.0 SX because it combines various technologies without compromising the quality of work. This is why Digital Trends named ZMorph the best for makers in their detailed market overview. All3DP called ZMorph 2.0 SX the best all-in-one 3D printer in 2017 (and previous ZMorph 2.0 S model received this title in 2016). Finally, Chris Yohe from the prestigious Make magazine wrote in his review:
If you are looking for a single machine to do it all, look no further.
At ZMorph we’re all very honored by these positive reviews. But what’s even more rewarding for us is to see the works of such talented and creative makers like Julien Doolaeghe, people who put ZMorph into a really good use.
